The other meaning of the noun is “careful and sensitive behavior that does not upset or offend people” (e.g. The investigation will be carried out with the utmost discretion).

Approach noun (a particular way of thinking about or dealing with something) often occurs in the combination with the preposition to (e.g.: He has a relaxed approach to life). It is combined with the verbs adopt, take and use (e.g. As a writer she takes a completely new approach to the classic horror story).
