Lesson № 14

1. Theme: Cellular mechanisms of ontogenetic development

2. Purpose:

- Create the students' knowledge about the patterns and sequence of cellular changes in the course of normal ontogenetic development of man;

- To develop the motivation of the need to study the ontogeny of cellular mechanisms of ontogeny, which is the basis for the understanding of physicians abnormalities in the form of the CDF;

- To develop communication skills in the analysis of situational problems in violation of the cellular mechanisms of ontogenesis;

- Develop practical competence in the use of knowledge of normal ontogenetic development with assignments.

3.Learning objectives:

- To reveal the essence of ontogeny, ontogenesis types and periods;

- Explain the role and importance of gametogenesis and fertilization for normal ontogenetic development;

- To reveal the nature and significance of the polarity of the egg, ooplazmatic segregation, positional information, determination, differentiation, embryonic induction for the normal ontogenetic development;

- To disclose the nature and significance of cellular processes: reproduction (proliferation), migration, selective sorting, and apoptosis for the normal ontogenetic development;

- Explain the sequence and stages of fetal development of the human organism from a clinical point of view.
