2. Program:

2.1. Introduction

Molecular biology studies the structure and function of nucleic acids, principles and mechanisms of genetics information, as well as the molecular basis of the structure and functions of the cage during the growth, development, division, tumor transformation and cell death.

     Medical Genetics examines the reasons for the emergence and development of hereditary diseases, their diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

      With an integrated approach to teaching in medical schools, the study of molecular biology provides basis for studying the molecular basis of structure and functioning of cells, regulating genes expression is necessary for understanding normal life processes and their disorders, leading to emergence of many diseases, including hereditary, associated with mutations in genes and chromosomes, which is the subject of medical genetics.

This fundamental training will allow to form clinical mentality, starting with the first-year students. student, studying molecular biology and medical genetics, learns about mechanisms of disorders the molecular, genetics and cellular bases of life processes and their role in the formation and manifestation of pathological conditions. And also their diagnosis and prevention basis .

      This soda is theoretical basis for studying biological chemistry, histology, physiology, pathological physiology, general immunology, pharmacology, pediatrics, neurology, obstetrics gynecology, and other clinical discipline.

2.2. The purpose of discipline:

formation in students current knowledge about the basic molecular genetics and cellular mechanisms of functioning of the body and their application in clinical practice.

2.3. Learning objectives:

-understanding role of molecular genetics and cellular mechanisms of the body in health and disease for effective diagnosis, prevention and treatment of common diseases.

- To form an idea of ​​ basic principles of using modern molecular genetics techniques and technology in theoretical and practical medicine;

- learn to recognize the main features of hereditary pathologies for their timely diagnosis and prevention.

- to give an idea about ethical and legal standards usage of molecular genetics studies achievements in medicine;
