Single versus Multiple Transaction Translators
The preceding example was based on each port having a dedicated transaction translator. However, the implementer may choose to implement one transaction translator that is shared amongst all of the ports as illustrated in Figure 1717. The hub must report whether it has a single or multiple transaction translators in its descriptors.
