IV. Инфинитивные конструкции
В современном английском языке различают три вида инфинитивных конструкций:
объектная инфинитивная конструкция;
субъектная инфинитивная конструкция;
инфинитивная конструкция с предлогом “for”
V. Объектная инфинитивная конструкция
Объектная инфинитивная конструкция (иначе: Complex Object или сложное дополнение) представляет собой конструкцию, в которой инфинитив находится в предикативном отношении с существительным в общем падеже или с местоимением в объектном падеже, выполняющими функцию дополнения (объекта) в предложении.
I want John to be my friend. - Я хочу, чтобы Джон был моим другом.
I hate her to talk in such a manner. - Я терпеть не могу, когда она так говорит.
Объектная инфинитивная конструкция чаще всего переводится на русский язык дополнительным придаточным предложением.
Употребление объектной инфинитивной конструкции.
После глаголов чувственного восприятия. В данном случае инфинитив, следующий за дополнением, выраженным существительным в общем падеже или объектным местоимением, используется без частицы “to”. После глаголов чувственного восприятия используется только Indefinite Infinitive Active.
I saw her enter the room. - Я видел, как она вошла в комнату.
He hasn’t heard the teacher call his name. - Он не слыша, как учитель назвал его имя.
I felt my heart sink into my boots. - Я почувствовал, что у меня сердце ушло в пятки.
Примечание:
а) Если значение конструкции пассивно, используется Рarticiple II.
I heard the play staged in the famous theatre. - Я слышал, что эту пьесу поставили в известном театре.
б) Если значение конструкции содержит в себе процесс выполнения действия, используется Participle I Indefinite Active.
I heard him playing the piano. - Я слышал, как он играет на пианино.
После глаголов, обозначающих умственную деятельность (to know, to think, to consider, to believe, to suppose, to imagine, to find, etc).
После вышеназванных глаголов в объектной инфинитивной конструкции чаще всего используется глагол “to be”.
I believe him to be an honest person. - Я считаю, что он честный человек.
You know me to be your friend. - Вы знаете, что я вам друг.
The teacher supposes that pupil to have a good mark at the exam. - Учитель предполагает, что этот ученик получит хорошую оценку на экзамене.
Примечание:
а) использование данной конструкции после глаголов умственной деятельности более характерно для художественного стиля.
б) характерное использование инфинитива “to be” в данной конструкции после глаголов умственной деятельности не распространяется на глагол “to expect”.
Everybody expected him to appear at the party. - Все ожидали, что он появится на вечеринке.
в) после глаголов умственной деятельности изредка используется Perfect Infinitive.
The hostess found her most important guest to have left an hour ago. - Хозяйка узнала, что самый важный гость ушел час назад.
После глаголов, обозначающих какое-либо заявление (to pronounce, to declare, to report).
The doctor pronounced the patient to recover soon. - Врач сказал, что больной скоро поправится.
The teacher declared the pupil to be very clever and obedient. - Учитель заявил, что этот ученик очень умный и послушный.
4. После глаголов, обозначающих желание или намерение (to want, to wish, to desire, to intend, to mean).
I want you to attend all the lectures. - Я хочу, чтобы вы посещали все лекции.
He intended me to go with him to the circus. - Он хотел, чтобы я пошла с ним в цирк.
I didn’t mean you to learn all the grammar material by heart. - Я не имела в виду, чтобы вы выучили весь грамматический материал наизусть.
5. После глаголов, обозначающих приказ или разрешение совершить какое-либо действие (to order, to allow, to suffer, to have, etc). В данном случае объектная инфинитивная конструкция используется только, если дополнение выражено существительным или местоимением, обозначающим неодушевленный предмет, или если инфинитив имеет пассивную форму (данное ограничение не распространяется на глаголы “to suffer”, “to have”).
She ordered her dress to be ready as soon as possible. - Она приказала, чтобы платье было готово как можно быстрее.
He didn’t allow her name to be pronounced aloud. - Он не разрешал, чтобы ее имя произносили вслух.
She couldn’t suffer her boyfriend to treat her like that. - Она не могла допустить, чтобы ее друг так обращался с ней.
I won’t have you behave as a child. - Я не могу допустить, чтобы ты вела себя как ребенок.
После глаголов, обозначающих чувства и эмоции (to like, to hate, to
love, cannot bear, etc.)
I cannot bear you to look at anybody except me. - Я не могу выносить, когда ты смотришь на кого-нибудь кроме меня.
I like you to sing this song. - Мне нравиться, когда ты поешь эту песню.
После глаголов, обозначающих принуждение совершить какое либо действие (to make, to cause, to have - в значение заставлять, to get - в значение “добиться”).
The steps made him get quiet. - Шаги заставили его затихнуть.
Her look caused me to stop my reproaches. - Ее взгляд заставил меня прекратить упреки.
I can not get her to come in time. - Я не могу добиться, чтобы она приходила вовремя.
Примечание:
После глаголов “to make”, “to have” в вышеназванном значении инфинитив используется без частицы “to”.
