Русские падежи в английском языке передаются с помощью предлогов.

Именительный падеж – подлежащее (без предлогов)

Родительный падеж – of

Дательный падеж – to

Винительный падеж – дополнение (без предлогов)

Творительный падеж – by; with

Предложный падеж – about, at, under, in…

Имя числительное

Имена числительные делятся на количественные и порядковые.

Количественные числительные (обозначают количество предметов и отвечают на вопрос сколько? how many?) :оne, two, thirteen, one hundred (100), three thousand (3,000)….

Образование количественных числительных:

13-19 – (3-9 + teen): sixteen (кроме: three – thirteen; five – fifteen)

30-90 – (числит. +ty): sixty (кроме: 30 – three – thirty; 50 – five – fifty; 21 – twenty one; 23 – twenty three;

Порядковые числительные (являются определением существиетельного и требуют определенного артикля):the first; the second; the third…

January is the first month of the year. Январь – первый месяц года.

Образование: количественное числит. + th (the fifth, the sixth, the sixteenth, the two thousandth, the three millionth (исключение: 1й, 2й, 3й – the first, the second, the third.)

Дробные числительные

0.05 – nought [no׃t] point nought five 2.45 – two point four five Запомните, что в англоязычных странах в десятичных дробях вместо запятой ставиться точка, а после тысячных разрядов запятая: 1,638; 2,356,789;

1/2 – a half , one second 2/3 – two thirds 2 1/5 – two and one fifth 3/5 – three fifths
