I Am a Would-Be Financier
Profession of financier is very interesting and necessary for our country, because Ukraine is oriented to the market economy. Money, clearing, offering checking account deposits – this is the work of a financier.
The banking industry is undergoing a series of sweeping changes, spurred by competition from other financial institutions, globalization of banking and advances in information technology (IT). That's why no banking institution can do without a financier.
Most economists regard monetary policy as an essential component of national stabilization policy. Compared with fiscal policy, monetary policy can change quickly. A financier should take this fact into consideration, analyze it and do everything possible to avoid inflation or deflation.
Banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and especially mutual funds – all these institutions need a financier to work effectively.
A good financier should know not only financial market, but how to do business with international partners and clients. Doing business with international clients requires more than just an understanding of the myriad of international rules and regulations. The building of successful business relationships is a vital part of any venture, and such relationships rely heavily on an understanding of each partner's expectations and intentions. In other words, a financier should be a good psychologist. I am eager to become a top specialist to work for the welfare of Ukraine.
