PROCEDURE:
(1)Pilotage Is compulsory and is available H24.
(2)Vessels should send ETA at the outer pilot boarding posijion and await instructions from Mina al Malik Fahd (King Fahd Port) before proceeding to the Inner pilot boarding posijion.
(3)The pilot normally boards and disembarks at the Inner pilot boarding position. Pilot will board at the outer pilot boarding position if arranged well in advance. Pilot boarding and disembarking is at the discretion of the pilot.
(4)Pilot boards as follows:
(a)Northern Entrance:
(i)Outer: in position 24°02'·00N37°44'·00E
(ii)Inner: in posijion 24°05'·OON37 °55'·00E
(b)Southern Entrance:
(i)Outer: in position 23°26'·60N38°27'·20E
(ii)Inner: in position: 23°50'·00N38°19'·00E

(1) Pilotage Is compulsory for vessels of 150 GT and over, except for vessels exempted by law.
(2) Pilot ordering: Vessels should send request for pilot through the agent as follows:
(a) 48h before ETA if using pilot boarding point off Pointe Djogue
(b) 24h before ETA if using pilol boarding point at Dakar
(3) Pilot boards in the following positions:
(a) In the vicinity of North Lt buoy No 12 (W40'·62N 17°23'·46W)(see DAKAR)
(b) 12°36'·00N16°54'·40W(in the vicinity of Casamance Lt buoy)
(c) 12°32'·80N16°49'·90W(at the entrance to the channel)
NOTE:
Due to the constant changing of depths in the Riviere Casamance, transit without apilot should not be attempted.

(3) Vessels should send last ports 01 call to the Hr Mr 24h prior to arrival.
(4) Pilot boards 0·6n miles Wof northern extremity 01 S. Anne I.
