PROCEDURE:
(1) Notice of ETA: Vessels nominaled to load at Bonga Terminal are required to report their ETA to Bonga and Shipping and Export Department as follows:
(a)7 days before ETA, or upon clearing last port if there is less than 7days normal steaming time before ETA
(b)72h before ETA
(c)4Bh before ETA
(d)24h before ETA
(e)At any other time(s) between the notices as per (b), (c) and (d) when the ETA is to be revised by more than 12h from that most recently notlfled, or after notice
(d) when the ETA is 10 be revised by more than 30 mins
(2)Vessels should proceed to Forcados to board the pilot.
(3)Vessels must call Forcados Terminal on VHF Ch OB when in range and send the ETA at the position designated by the pilots.
(4)Pilot boards in position S'12'·00NSOOB'·OOE(3 n miles NW of the Forcados crude oil loading buoy).
(5)Vessels must call Bonga Control on VHF Ch 72 when within range of the field and again when arriving at the Bonga Precautionary Area (5000m) and Safety (500m) Zones to request permission to enter.

(2) Vessels should also call Onne Signals on VHF Ch 14 and provide ETA information as listed in BONNY RIVER.

(4) Vessels should maintain a listening watch on VHF Chs 08 and 14.

ESCRAVOS RIVER

PROCEDURE:
(1)Pilotage is compulsory in Escravos River for vessels bound for the Deija Ports of Burutu, Koko, Sapele and Warn and is arranged through the agent. (Pilotage is available HJ only).
(2)Escravos River Pilot requests the following information by VHF prior to the pilot boarding the vessel:

(3)Escravos River Pilot provides apilotage service from Escravos Bar to/from Bennett Island Anchorage, whilst the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Harbour Pilot provides pilotage from Bennett Island tolfrom the nominated berth at Warri.
(4)Escravos River Pilot provides a pilotage service from Escravos bar tolfrom Koko Anchorage, whilst the NPA Harbour Pilot provides a pilotage service from the Koko Anchorage to/from the nominated berth at Koko or Sapele.
(5)For security reasons, vessels inward·boundand outward-bound movements in the Delta Ports are being monitored and co-ordinated from NNS Delta at Warri through the Nigerian Navy Gun Boat stationed at Escravos Tank Farm near Lt buoy No 19, where clearance is usually granted via VHF.
(6)Escravos River Pilots provides a pilotage service to the offshore oil industry within
the Niger Delta region. Arrangements are made via the agents.
(7)Vessels are advised to remain 30-40 n miles off the Escravos breakwater during darkness due to pirate activity.
(8)Pilot boards 2 nmiles SW of the Escravos breakwater in daylight.
