1) Today comfortable and well-equipped cinemas attract a lot of people of different ages. 2) The price of the tickets can't be compared with the pleasure to see your favourite actors starring in films with lots of special effects created with the help of the latest computer technologies. 3) No wonder that going to the cinema has become one of the most popular free-time activities among teenagers. 4) My friends and I are among the cinema-goers, too. 5) To my mind, watching a film in the cinema is more exciting than trying to watch it at home because the pleasure might be interrupted by a sudden phone call, a request of your parents to do something about the house or something else.6) I'd like to tell you about the film I saw some months ago in the cinema. 7) It was the film «Avatar», directed by James Cameron. 8) Cameron spent 400 million dollars on creating that film and it is made using modern 3D-technologies. 9) So if you wear special glasses you may see a three-dimensional picture. 10) It is reported that Cameron has been preparing for this film for 10 years! 11) He thoroughly thought over each of the smallest details of the alien world: from the looks of the characters to the nature and philosophy of the aliens' race. 12) To tell the truth, I haven't seen anything more interesting and exciting in my life. 13) The film describes the events of the year 2154. 14) Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi. 15) The Na'vi is a humanoid race with their own language and culture and they live in harmony with nature. 16) When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission to the distant world of Pandora.17) There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoids Na'vi.18) The woodland of Pandora is rich in some precious material and Selfridge wants to mine for it. 19) The head of Sec-Ops, Colonel Quaritch promises Jake restorative treatment for his paraplegia in exchange for the information that would enable Quaritch to force the cooperation of the Na'vi. 20) Jake starts delivering information to Quaritch but he understands that he has made a mistake. 21) Jake doesn't want Pandora to be destroyed. 22) After an epic battle for the fate of the planet the remaining corporate personnel are sent back to the Earth and Jake and other scientists are allowed to stay on Pandora. 23) Jake is happy because he finds his real love here.24) I do not want to say the story is simple or bad, it advances the ideas of care for living beings and nature as the only way to survive for the whole planet. 25) It shows how cruel and irresponsible people may be. 26) So everyone can make parallels to the ecological situation on the Earth and the way people treat it. 27) But you should judge for yourself.

28) In my opinion, this film is great! 29) Some people say it's too long and perhaps the plot is too complicated, but I strongly recommend you to watch this film and to gain your own impression.

1) У наш час багатьох людей різного віку приваблюють комфор­табельні й добре оснащені кіно­театри. 2) Вартість квитків — ніщо у порівнянні з задоволенням по­бачити улюблених акторів, які грають у фільмах з численними спецефектами, створеними за до­помогою найновіших комп'ютерних технологій. 3) Недивно, що похід до кіно став серед підлітків одним з найпопулярніших способів про­ведення дозвілля. 4) Я й мої друзі також часті відвідувачі кінотеатрів. 5) На мою думку, перегляд фільму в кінотеатрі більш захопливий, ніж удома, де все задоволення може бути перерване несподіваним телефон­ним дзвінком, проханням батьків зробити щось по господарству або чимось іншим.6) Я хотів би розповісти про фільм, який дивився кілька місяців тому в кінотеатрі. 7) Це був фільм «Аватар» Джеймса Кемерона. 8) Ке-мерон витратив 400 мільйонів до­ларів на створення цього фільму, він зроблений з використанням найновішої тривимірної технології.9) Тому, якщо ви надягнете спеці­альні окуляри, то отримаєте можли­вість побачити тривимірну картинку.10) Кажуть, що Кемерон готувався до випуску цього фільму 10 років!11) Він ретельно продумав кожну дрібну деталь інопланетного світу: від вигляду головних героїв до при­роди й філософії раси інопланетян.12) Чесно кажучи, я ніколи в житті не бачив нічого більш цікавого й за­хопливого. 13) У фільмі описані події, що відбуваються у 2154 році. 14) Джейка, паралізованого вете­рана війни, доставляють на іншу планету, Пандору, яку населяють Наві. 15) Наві — це гуманоїдна раса з власною мовою й культурою, що живе в гармонії з природою. 16) Коли його брата вбили під час пограбуван­ня, паралізований морський піхоти­нець Джейк Саллі вирішує зайняти його місце в делегації до далекого світу Пандори. 17) Там Джейк ді­знається про наміри ненажерливого глави корпорації Паркера Селфрі-джа вигнати місцевих гуманоїдів Наві. 18) Лісисті землі Пандори багаті на дорогоцінний матеріал, і Селфрідж бажає його видобувати. 19) Глава «Sec-Ops» полковник Кво-рич обіцяє Джейку поновлювальне лікування його паралічу в обмін на інформацію, яка примусить Наві співпрацювати з ними. 20) Джейк починає передавати інформацію Кворичу, але розуміє, що помилився. 21) Джейк не бажає, щоб Пандора була знищена. 22) Після епохальноїбитви за долю планети персонал корпорації відправляють назад на Землю, а Джейкові і решті вчених дозволяють залишитися на Пан-дорі. 23) Джейк щасливий, тому що тут він знайшов своє справжнє кохання.24) Я не хочу сказати, що сюжет простий чи поганий, — він декла­рує ідею турботи про живих істот і природу як єдиний спосіб вижити для всієї планети. 25) У ньому по­казано, якими жорстокими й без­відповідальними можуть бути люди.26) Кожен може провести паралель з екологічною ситуацією на Зем­лі й з тим, як люди її вирішують,27) Але ви самі повинні скласти думку про фільм.28) На мою думку, цей фільм чудовий! 29) Хтось вважає, що він задовгий і, можливо, сюжет надто складний, а я настійно рекомендую переглянути цю стрічку й скласти власну думку.
