Tasks for self preparation:

Basic level:

1. Compose the glossary of main legal terms to the topic relying on the list of terms below.

Main terms: Collective labour (bargaining) contract; the content of collective labour contract; parties to a collective labour contract; collective contractual regulation of labour relations members; regulatory terms of collective labour contract; collective contract’s execution; collective bargaining; working committee; collective contract’s registration; operation of a collective contract; currency (effective period) of collective contract; agreement; legal act; social-labour relations; the content of collective agreements; general agreement; territorial agreement; industrial agreement.

Sufficient level

1. To process additional information sources and to prepare an oral mini-report, report-presentation or analytical review of scientific publication on certain problem.

Problematic issues

  1. International legal regulation of collective-contractual relations.

  2. Directions of collective-agreemental relations regulation improvement.

2. Familiarize oneself with prescribed list of literature and summarize the information, write down the abstract from this topic to your notebook.

  1. Legal bases of collective bargaining contracts and agreements working out, concluding and performance.

  2. Collective bargaining: subject matter, procedure, participants and guarantees of their rights. Settlement of disputes at a time of the collective bargaining.

Solve the case

Because of production reorganization there was reduction of personnel carried out in practice. An owner gave a month’s warning about future reduction of personnel, another job was not proposed to employees.
