I. Key terms:
Public — громадськість — any group that has an actual or potential interest in or impact on an organization’s ability to achieve its objectives.
Public relations — зв’язок із громадськістю; інформація про діяльність (організації тощо) — building good relations with the company’s various publics by obtaining favourable publicity, building up a good «corporate image», and handling or heading off unfavourable rumors, stories, and events. Major PR tools include press relations, product publicity, corporate communications, lobbying and counseling.
Publicity — реклама, рекламування, пропагування — activities to promote a company or its products by planning news about in media not paid for by the sponsor.
Media — засоби масової інформації — nonpersonal communication channels including print media (newspapers, magazines, direct mail); broadcast media (radio, television); and display media (billboards, signs, posters).
