Exercise 1.

Comment on the use of the Present Perfect Tense.

Which use is expressed in the following sentences:

  1. I have known Alice for 5 years.

  3. We’ve bought a new car.

  4. My mother has never travelled by air.

  5. I can’t find my umbrella. Somebody has taken it.

  6. I’ve lost my passport.

  7. «Are they still having dinner?» - «No, they’ve finished».

  8. How long have you worked as a teacher?

  9. Look! Somebody has broken that window.

  10. She is an interesting person. She has done many different jobs and has visited many countries.

  11. They have lived all over the world.

Exercise 2.

Make the following sentences
