Lesson 4

Communication Focus

Task 13. Collect reports about the distribution scheme and lists of distribution problems solutions written as a home assignment after the last class on Unit 4 for checking and grading.

Teacher will hand out the reports about the distribution scheme and lists of distribution problems solutions written by the students as a home assignment at the beginning of the next class, checked and commented on by him/her.

Now the teacher should hand out the reports, questionnaires and market research outcomes written by you as a home assignment for the previous time, checked and commented on by him/her. After the students look through the comments made by the teacher on students’ reports and advertisements, they may ask you some questions. If students ask you questions that require lengthy explanations, ask them to approach you individually after class.

Task 14. Ask 4-5 students to present their reports. Presenters should be asked additional questions by the students and the teacher when their presentation is over. Do not exceed the 15-minute limit for the activity.

Task 15. Suggested answers:

  • The information that shows good sides of the company should be mentioned in such advertisements, something that differs this company from the others.

  • The following adjectives help to make positive impression and persuade to choose a company: dedicated, reliable, cost effective, full, extensive

Task 16. To be done exactly as stated in the Student’s Book. The teacher may also organize a competition for the best advertisement.

Task 17.

        2. Teacher should tell students to revise all the materials from Unit 3 and 4, learn new vocabulary as they will have a module assessment at the next lesson.

Lesson 5

Task 21. Teacher should hand out the distribution scheme and lists of distribution problems solutions written by students as a home assignment for the previous class, checked and commented on by him/her. After students look through the comments made by the teacher on students’ reports and advertisements, they may ask you some questions. If students ask questions that require lengthy explanations, ask them to approach you individually after the class.

Task 22. To be organized exactly as stated in the Student’s Book. Do not exceed the 15-minute limit for the activity.

Task 23. To be organized exactly as stated in the Student’s Book.

Task 24. Module Assessment. Teacher should give students Module Assessment papers. They have 60 minutes for all the tasks.
