Exercise 92

Some business letters are very simple. Look at this standard business letter Simon wrote for Sheila from Sheila’s notes:

Notes: tel conv this pm / our catalogue / / thanks for yr enquiry / do business with you

The body of Simon’s letter:

Further to our telephone conversation this afternoon, I enclose our catalogue.

We thank you for your enquiry and we look forward to doing business with you.

Write the body of these letters in the same way from these notes:

  1. tel conv this am / our price list / / thanks for yr enquiry / do business with you

  2. conv yesterday pm / a job application form / / thanks for yr enquiry / hear from you

  3. tel conv this am / a cheque for £97 / / apologise for the delay / recieve yr receipt

  4. conv this pm / our invoice / / … / recieve yr payment

  5. yr telex / our official order / / apologise for the delay / receive the goods

  6. conv at yr office / a copy of the financial report / / … / hear yr opinion
