Steve Marshal and Ben Long work for an engineering company. Steve has just returned from a week in Kuala Lumpur, at a trade fair. Explain the use of some and any.

Ben: How was Kuala Lumpur? Any contracts?

Steve: Excellent. We made some good contacts.

Ben: Contacts? I said did you get any contracts?

Steve: No, we didn’t get any contracts. But I’m sure we’ll get some soon.

Ben: I hope so. We’ve had some good news this week.

Steve: What was that?

Ben: Our American agent wants some more PX100s.

Ben: Some, but not many.
