3. A háromszög oldala hosszának megállapítására a Pitagorasz-tételt használjuk.
4. Ha a Pitagorasz-tételt c2=a2+b2 alakban fejezzük ki, akkor bármelyik két betüt egy derékszögű háromszög két oldalának vehetjük. Az egyenlet megoldása után a háromszög harmadik oldalának a hosszát kapjuk meg.
5. A Pitagorasz-tételt használva négyzetgyököt, összeget vagy négyzetek különbségét kapjuk meg.

A theorem is a statement of a geometrical truth which has to be proved from facts already proved or assumed.
We usually distinguish the following parts of a theorem:
1) the General Enunciation (fogalmazás) – this states in general terms the truth which has to be proved;
2) the particular Enunciation – this restates with reference to a particular figure the truth which has to be proved. It has two parts:
a) a statement of what is given and
b) a statement of what has to be proved;
3) the Construction – this states any lines or figures which are required for the proof;
4) the Proof – this proves the truth by facts already established or assumed.

Most businesses nowadays use personal computers, or PCs, which are often linked together in a local network. This is a big change from the days when time had to be rented on mainframe computer. Nowadays these are only used by very large businesses, universities, or government departments.
The two most popular types of computers currently are those of IBM and Apple (the Macintosh). It was IBM who set the standard for the PC which others later initiated. That is why, in order to be able to use the widest range of software, a computer has to be IBM compatible.
The most successful software company now is Microsoft with its Windows operating system. The Microsoft Corporation is constantly developing the new versions of its operating system as well as other products.
The computer manufacturers try to apply the newest technologies producing hardware systems with the fastest processors like: Pentium IV, Celeron, Athlon, Duron and others. It is true that these newer models have a faster processor, more memory, a larger hard disk drive and a faster CD-ROM drive than previous models.
