Question-negative sentences (питально-заперечні речення)

§ 1 Питально-заперечні речення утворюються подібно до загальних питань але із часткою not. Існує відмінність утворення повної та скороченої форм питально-заперечних речень. Повна форма утворюється за схемою: допоміжне дієслово + підмет + частка not + дієслово; Скорочена форма утворюється таким чином: допоміжне дієслово + n`t + підмет + дієслово;

Do you not like their new house? – Don’t you like their new house? – Хіба вам не подобається їхній новий будинок?

Does she not enjoy watching horror films? - Doesn’t she enjoy watching horror films? - Невже вона не любить дивитися фільми жахів?

Did they not live in Paris? – Didn’t they live in Paris? – Хіба вони не жили в Парижі?

Will they not join us? – Won’t they join us? – Невже вони не приєднаються до нас?

Can she not play the piano? – Can’t she play the piano? – Невже вона не вміє грати на піаніно?

Have you not finished your test yet? – Haven’t you finished your test yet? – Хіба ви ще не завершили ваш тест?

§ 2 Питально - заперечні речення вживаються:

1 Щоб запитати підтвердження: Isn`t Tom going on holiday this week? – Том не збирається у відпустку на цьому тижні?

2 Щоб виразити здивування: Don’t you know how to make tea? – Хіба ти не знаєш, як готувати чай?

3 Щоб висловити захоплення: Isn`t she a great hostess! - Ну хіба вона не чудова господиня!

4 Щоб висловити роздратування, незадоволення: Can’t you be on time just for once! – Ну хіба ти не можеш хоча б раз прийти вчасно!

Вправа 2 Утворіть з наступних речень питально - заперечні
