3. Translate into English.

1. Джулии часто приходилось слышать рассказы женщин о том, как мужчины преследуют их на улице, стараются перехватить их взгляд и как трудно бывает от них отделаться. Джулии это казалось очень лестным. Она часто спрашивала себя, почему к ней никогда не приставали. Не то, чтобы у нее нет «секс апила». А вдруг нет? Джулия решила проверить это на опыте. Она должна была убедиться.

Джулия приложила старание, чтобы выглядеть не слишком просто, но и не слишком респектабельно. На губах у нее играла легкая улыбка. Несколько раз, встретившись с каким-нибудь мужчиной взглядом, Джулия затаивала дыхание, ожидая, что он начнет к ней приставать, но все они проходили мимо, не обращая на нее ни малейшего внимания. Это было унизительно. В голове у нее пронеслось, что она выбрала не ту улицу. Но делать было нечего (Что ж поделаешь?)

И вдруг, совершенно неожиданно, он обратился к ней по имени. Джулия была так потрясена, что чуть не подскочила.

3. Джулия с нетерпением ждала начала репетиций. Хотя Джулия уже много лет играла в театре, но каждый раз. Когда она репетировала новую роль, она чувствовала (ощущала) себя не ведущей актрисой, а молоденькой девушкой, исполняющей свою первую крошечную роль. Том подумал бы, что Эвис выгнали, потому что Джулия ревнует его к ней. Джулия имела достаточное влияние на Майкла, чтобы заставить его оставить Эвис в составе исполнителей.
