“Life's Own Battle”
by Emma Jackson.
Didn't want a battle, Yet you declared war, Each knock you gave me made me stronger than before, I will not give up, I will not give in, You won't make me fall, I won't let you win.

Best Friend Poem by Margery Wang
I still remember the first day we met We were too shy to say much at all It's funny to think back to that time Because now we're having a ball! They say that true friendship is rare An adage that I believe to be true Genuine friendship is something that I cherish I am so lucky to have met you. Our bond is extremely special It is unique in it's own way We have something irreplaceable I love you more and more each day. We've been through so much together In so little time we've shared I will never forget all the moments that you've shown me how much you cared.

“Snow Day”
by Sam D.
Snow is falling to the ground Piling up in enormous mounds School is cancelled for the day Children run outside to play Snowballs are thrown in the air No one has any care About school-only fun Because the day is a snowy one Snowmen are stacked very high Their top hats almost skim the sky To make them round they must pat Then finish off with mittens and hat As the weather gets cold The children are told To come inside and eat Hot chocolate with a couple treats

Live each day to the fullest
For Alexis From Your Mama
by Amy D. Liskey
Sitting on the steps, looking across the lake, Wondering why, life at times, can seem great. But in that second, it took me to just think, My life could change, faster than a blink. Is this a reason why we should always cherish? Not knowing when loved ones may suddenly perish. Living everyday, like it was our very last, for our days could be very long or go by very fast So I'll cherish and take nothing for granted, not say things that shouldn't be chanted. If this is the last day I have on this earth, I accept my life, for what it's been worth.

Complication!!
by Misti L. Green
In a world filled with changes each and every day.. I feel I’m being judged for what I do and say.. I remember back to Barbies and play days at the park.. When I didn’t worry about other people’s remarks.. Now looking in the mirror I see to my surprise.. A completely different person staring in my eyes.. The carefree little girl I saw at 4 and 5.. Is now becoming a teen.. Just trying to survive...

Mothers Day Poem
Roses For Mama
by Lynn Casstevens
Lord, are there roses in your garden On the shores of jubilee Would you pick a dozen of your best And deliver them for me? For you see, today is mothers’ day And I can’t visit my mom For it wasn’t very long ago The angels came and took her home. So if there are roses in your garden On the shores of Jubilee Would you pick a dozen of your best And deliver them for me? Would you take them to my mother And tell her that I love her. Tell her that I miss her In oh! So many ways But I have joy in knowing We’ll meet again someday And we’ll pick roses together On the shores of Jubilee.
