… Still another creature that gave us a certain amount of trouble in the early stages was Millicent, the Malabar squirrel.

At first, Millicent was anything but tame, and would not hesitate to bury her teeth in your finger, should you be foolish enough to give her a chance. We came to the conclusion that she was just one of those animals which never became tame. But then a peculiar thing happened: Millicent was found one day lying in the bottom of her cage in a state of collapse. She had no obvious symptoms, and it was a little difficult to tell exactly what was wrong with her. When I find an animal suffering from mysterious complaint like this, I do two things: I gave it an antibiotic and keep it very warm. So Millicent had an injection and was moved down to the Reptile House, for this is only place where the heat is kept on throughout the summer months. ….

The fastest growing groups of Web newbies are non-English-speaking: Spanish, 22.4 percent; Japanese, 12.3 percent; German, 14 percent; and French, 10 percent.

An estimated 55.7 million people access the web whose native language is not English. But the translation market is seemingly endless. Only 6 percent of the world population speaks English as a native language (16 percent speak Spanish), while about 80 percent of all Web pages are in English. …

… Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!

My name is Leonardo de Angelis, and I am Business Director, in charge of IGL-NCC Moscow office. The office is located at Gilyarovskogo 4, close to the Garden Ring and Prospect Mira. We moved to this office in October 1998 but for many reasons we have not been able to organize the official opening before today.

Why IGL-NCC Contractors? In 1997, Imoreglio S.p.A., the leading Italian construction contractors, decided to join their forces to operate in the Russian Federation and the Baltic countries. Then, in 1998 two offices were opened, one in Moscow and the other in St. Petersburg. Today we are officially inaugurating our Moscow Office. Tomorrow we will inaugurate the St. Petersburg office.
