causes of drug abuse among:

adults (health problems, frustration of the career, unemployment, family problems, desire to make money, loss of moral values);

teenagers (peer pressure, immaturity, curiosity, parents’ permissiveness, lack of parental love and care).

Consequences of drug abuse: (health disorders, spreading of venereal and infectious diseases, family disintegration, divorces, abandoned children, street children, demoralization and degradation of a personality, learning problems, crimes, disabled children, abandoned elderly people, different conflicts, employment problems).

Measures to reduce/eradicate the incidence of drug abuse and trafficking in human beings: (to promote peoples awareness about the danger and consequences of drug abuse, to develop the balanced national policies and strategies on drugs, to start moral re-armament campaigns worldwide, to ban advertising alcohol, cigarettes, drugs of any sort on TV and in other mass media, to enhance the role of a family in society).

Writing

              1. Write an article to a newspaper expressing your concern about the present-time morals and also offer some suggestions on moral re-armament.

        1. Write a letter to Mr. Alexander, who wrote the article “Parents are too permissive with their children nowadays”.
