Us road division support command

The Spt Comd of the Div contains the Div admin spt units and admin spt elements from corps and field army which may be attached or placed in support of the Div. Adequate admin spt is provided to maintain the momentum of the atk without interrup­tion through the attainment or destruction of the final obj.

The Div Spt Comd provides admin spt to the Div to include-

Supply, including establishment of mobile distributi points for Class I through IV supplies and maps.

Div level as opposed to unit level medical service, inch ing evacuation of patients, treatment (including emergency den- tai), medical sup and first and second echelon medical equip maintenance.

Third echelon maintenance (except for cryptographic and electrical accounting equip).

In the airborne Div, air equip required for aerial delivery of pers, supplies, and equip.

Advice to the Div and subordinate commanders and their staffs on logistical ops to include status of sup, maintenance and transportation, and capabilities of organic and attached quar­termaster, ordnance, and transportation units. The impetus of admin spt within the division is from rear to front. Admin spt is so organized and conducted, as to permit combat commanders to concentrate their attention; efforts, and resources on combat tasks. The sys must operate habitually in such a manner that com­bat commanders feel completely assured of the required admin spt.
