Формы глагола	Образование
1. Infinitive (инфинитив, или начальная форма)	Совпадает с формой настоящего времени (кроме to be)
2. Past Simple(простое прошедшее время)	У правильных глаголов с помощью окончания -ed
3. Participle II (причастие прошедшего времени)	У неправильных глаголов – особые формы
4. Participle I (причастие настоящего времени)	С помощью окончания -ing

Глагол to be

В отличие от других глаголов не требует вспомогательного глагола при образовании отрицательных и вопросительных предложений, сам выступая в этой роли. Как смысловой глагол имеет значение быть, находиться. Как глагол-связка в составном именном сказуемом имеет значение быть, являться. На русский язык часто не переводится.

Отрицательные предложения с глаголом to be

I am not a student.	We are not students.
You are not a student.	You are not students.
He is not a student.	They are not students.
She is not a student.
It is not a book.

Вопросительные предложения с глаголом TO BE

Am Ia teacher? Are you a student? Is he English? Is she from Canada? Are we in England?

Yes, I am. No, I am not. Yes, I am. I am a student. No, I am not. I’m a doctor. Yes, he is. No, he is not (he isn’t). Yes, she is. She’s from Canada. No, she is not. She is from France. Yes, you are. You are in Bath. No, you are not (you aren’t).You are in Scotland.

Ex. 1. Проспрягайте каждое предложение.

1. I am a lawyer.

Ex.2. Дайте краткие ответы на вопросы.

Ex.3. Поставьте следующие предложения в отрицательную и вопросительную форму. Дайте краткие ответы на общие вопросы.

1. The house is new. 2. They are at school. 3. Those men are judges. 4. The students are at that room. 5. My friend’s flat is large. 6. My sisters are in Kiev now. 7. My friend is a sportsman.

Ex.4. Прочтите предложения, заполните пропуски соответствующей личной формой глагола to be и переведите на русский язык.

Ex.6. Поставьте предложения во множественное число, сделав соответствующие изменения.
