Одого разу я подумав, що от як добре було б, якби дорослі були, як діти, а діти, як дорослі. Ось це було б чудово! Дуже було б цікаво.
Уявляю собі, як мамі й татові це сподобалося б, а бабуся, напевно, цілими днями від мене ревіла б.
Я б їм показав! Наприклад, от мама сиділа б за обідом, а я б їй сказав:
– Ти чому це без хліба їла? Краще подивися б на себе в дзеркало! На кого ти схожа? Їж зараз же, тобі говорять.
І вона стала б їсти, опустивши голову, а я б тільки командував:
– Швидше! Знову задумалася!
І отут увійшов би тато після роботи, і я б закричав:
– Ага, з'явився! Постійно тебе треба чекати. Мий руки зараз же! Тепер сідай до столу!
Він би сів і потихеньку сказав мамі:
– Ну, як ся маєш?
А вона б сказала теж потихеньку:
– Нічого, спасибі.
А я б крикнув:
– Розмови за столом! Тато, поклади зараз же газету!
І вони сиділи б у мене, як шовкові, а вже коли прийшла б бабуся, я б заголосив:
– Зізнайся, знову в хокей ганяла? А що за брудний ціпок? Ти навіщо його в будинок притягла? Забери його зараз же з моїх очей!
Отут я б пройшовся по кімнаті й сказав би їм всім трьом:
– Після обіду сідаєте за уроки, а я в кіно піду.
Звичайно, їм би теж хотілося краще в кіно, але я б сказав:
– Вдома сидіть! Нате вам тридцять копійок на морозиво і все!
Тоді бабуся б попросила:
– Візьми хоч мене-то! Адже кожна дитина може провести одного дорослого безкоштовно.
Але я б сказав:
– А на цю картину людям після семидесяти років вхід заборонений.
І я б пройшовся повз них, начебто я не зауважую, що в них очі мокрі, а я б став одягатися й наспівував би, а вони від цього ще дужче б мучалися.
Але я не встиг придумати, що б я зробив ще, тому що ввійшла мама, справжня і жива, й сказала:
– Їж зараз же, подивися, на кого ти схожий!
