Возвратные местоимения (Reflexive Pronouns)

Возвратные местоимения образуются от личных и притяжательных местоимений прибавлением –self в единственном числе и –selves во множественном числе.

myself я сам, я сама, себя

yourself ты сам, ты сама, себя

himself он сам, себя

herself она сама, себя

itself оно само, себя

ourselves мы сами, себя

yourselves вы сами, себя

themselves они сами, себя

Возвратные местоимения употребляются в предложении для того, чтобы сказать, что предмет, названный подлежащим предложения, (а) сам совершает действие или (б) сам совершает действие и испытывает его на себе. Например:

I read the book myself. Я сам прочел книгу.

Don’t talk so loudly. Behave yourselves.

Не говорите так громко. Ведите себя хорошо.
