After performing one of mentioned above speaking tasks, let students assess it. Assessment is also a useful part in acquiring good speaking skills. Knowing that it is going to be assessment of someone’s speech, students listen to it more carefully, writing down mistakes that a speaker makes.
Assessment is effective means in improvement of speaking both for a speaker and a person who will assess. It allows speaker to find out his weak points in speaking and work on the. It teaches a person, who assesses, to think objectively, logically and critically.
Here are some words and phrases, that one can use as a layout for assessment of someone’s speech.
To be thoroughly enjoyed / fully satisfied / absolutely content / really pleased / rather gratified / a little bit amazed /strongly shocked / discontent / malcontent / frustrated.
To be entirely convinced by a speaker.
