2.6.2.1.Зразок тексту для письмового перекладу.

Sentencing. The Felony and Misdemeanor Penalty Tables show the general penalties established by the Ohio Criminal Code. In determining the sentence, the judge must con­sider: the risk that the offender will commit another crime and the need for protecting the public; the nature and circumstances of the offense; the victim impact statement; the his­tory, character, and condition of the offender's need for correctional or rehabilitative treatment.

The judge may order a presentence investigation in order to acquire the information needed to determine the sentence to be imposed on an offender. This investigation is usu­ally carried out by the court's officer, who gathers information about the offender's social history, employment record, financial situation, personal characteristics, family situation, and physical and mental condition, plus other pertinent information. All of this informa­tion is placed in a presentence investigation report and given to the judge. The judge then determines the sentence, and how the sentence is to be modified. A judge is more likely to be lenient if the offender is a first offender. A judge is more likely to be severe when the offender is a repeat offender or a dangerous offender.

It is important to note that, in some situations, judges may not have the authority to modify sentences in the manner stated above. For example, an offender convicted of an offense which requires actual incarceration cannot be granted probation, shock probation, or supershock probation before serving the term of actual incarceration.

3. Система оцінювання знань студентів в умовах європейської кредитно-трансферної системи (ects)

Оцінювання знань студентів здійснюється паралельно за 5-бальною національною шкалою і за 100-бальною шкалою ЄКТС.

З урахуванням виконання позапрограмних завдань студент може отримати максимально 120 балів.

Така система контролю дозволяє здійснювати оцінювання більш гнучко, об’єктивно і сприяє систематичній та активній самостійній роботі студентів упродовж усього навчання, забезпечує змагальність між студентами в навчанні, стимулює виявлення і розвиток творчих здібностей студентів.

Система обов’язкова для використання в ході підготовки студентів за освітньо-кваліфікаційними рівнями Бакалавр, Спеціаліст, Магістр відповідно до навчальних планів.
