My flat

By the way, my family live in one of the picturesque places in Nizhny Novgorod – not far from the park Shweytzaria. Our house is located in Gagarin street, it’s a five-storeyed block of flats. The apartment is on the third floor and has three rooms, a hall, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony.

The sitting-room is the largest and most comfortable room in the apartment, there is a TV-set, a sofa, two arm-chairs and a carpet on the floor. The room is very cosy – my Mother spent a lot of time decorating it with pictures, flowers and nice curtains. We enjoy our free time together in this room.

The two bedrooms are divided between my parents and me with my brother. They are smaller than the sitting-room, no doubt. My brother and me like our room very much though it’s not very large. There are two beds, two tables, two chairs, a computer and a carpet on the floor. The walls are decorated with posters and other interesting things brought by me and my brother from different expeditions. There is a guitar hanging on the wall. We take it to our expeditions because my brother can play the guitar very well, better than me, and knows many songs.

The kitchen is handily arranged: there is a gas-stove, a frige, a deep sink, built-in cupboards and a table that folds against the wall when not in use.

He flat has all modern conveniences: central heating, gas, electricity, cold and hot water, a lift and a chute to carry rubbish down.

I like my flat very much.
