К каждому предложению дать два варианта отрицания и составить возможные вопросы.

Упражнение 4. Переведите предложения, используя have / have got.
У гнома много друзей. The dwarf has got many friends.
У Фреда несколько разных учебников истории. Fred has got a few different history books.
У меня мало времени. Я перезвоню позже. I have little time. I’ll call back later.
У вас была возможность поговорить с мистером Питом? Did you have an opportunity to speak to Mr. Pitt?

Упражнение 5. Переведите предложения, используя оборот there is /there are в нужной форме.
В сумке пять яблок и апельсин. There are five apples and an orange in the bag.
В сумке яблоко и пять апельсинов. There is an apple and five oranges in the bag.
Существует много способов заработать на жизнь, не так ли? There are many ways of making a living, aren’t there?

У Буратино в кармане два яблока. There are two apples in Buratino’s pocket.
У Буратино в кармане не три яблока, а только два. There are not thre but two apples in Buratino’s pocket.
В его поведении нет ничего странного. There is nothing strange about his behaviour.
Есть кто-нибудь дома? Is there anyone at home?
Нет времени, чтобы подумать. There is no time to think.
Есть что-нибудь новенькое? – Нет. Пока новостей нет. Is there anything interesting? – No, there is no news so far.
На углу только что произошла авария, не так ли? There has been an accident at the crossroads, hasn’t there?
Ничего другого не оставалось, только ждать. There was nothing left but wait.
Завтра в филармонии будет интересный концерт. There will be an interesting concert at the Philharmonics There was nobody in the room. tomorrow.
В комнате никого не было. There was nobody in the room.

Упражнение 6. Переведите предложения, используя it is / there is / have в нужной форме.
Холодно. В термосе (vacuum bottle) есть чай? It is cold. Is there tea in the vacuum bottle?
Далеко до станции? – Два километра. Is it far to the station? – It is two km.
Что это? – Это модель самолета. У меня их двадцать семь в коллекции. What is it? – It’s a plane model. I’ve got 27 in my collection.
Трудно было решить примеры? – Были определенные трудности с последним заданием. Was it difficult to do the sums? – There was some difficulty with the last task.
Без пяти пять. Пора выходить. У нас нет времени. It’s five to five. It’s time to leave. We have no time.
Я не пойду с вами. Уже поздно, да и работы много. I won’t go with you. It’s late and I have much work.
Темно. У тебя есть спички? – На столе есть коробок. It’s dark. Have you got matches? – There is a box on the table.
Есть несколько вариантов решения этого задания. Оно не трудное. There are several ways to solve this task. It isn’r difficult.
Что у тебя на лице? Это грязь или синяк (bruise)? What is there on your face? Is it dirt or a bruise?
У вас есть время? – Боюсь, уже поздно. У нас будет возможность обсудить ваш вопрос завтра. Do you have spare time/a spare minute? – It’s late, I am afraid. We’ll have time to discuss your question tomorrow.
Бывают добрые пираты и злые пираты. Это ясно? There are kind pirates and wicked pirates. Is that clear?
У гнома два близких друга. Так чудесно иметь друзей! The dwarf has got two close friends. It is so nice to have friends.
В аквариуме было четыре рыбки. Кот съел одну рыбку. Сколько рыбок теперь в аквариуме? There were 4 fish in the aquarium. The cat has eaten one fish. How many fish are there in the aquarium now?
Жаль (use pity), что у Мэрилин столько гонора. Из-за этого у нее совсем нет друзей. It is a pity that Marylyn has so much arrogance. This is why she hasn’t got any / has no friends at all.
Сколько денег на счету (account)? – На счету вообще нет денег. How much money is there on the account? – There is no money on the account.
Есть что-нибудь, что я могу для вас сделать? – Нет, спасибо. У меня нет никаких проблем. Is there anything I can do for you? – No, thanks. I have no problems.
Сказать правду было невозможно. Не было и возможности солгать. It was impossible to tell the truth. There wasn’t an opportunity to lie, either.
