Cateterisation of an ureteral orifice ( second step)

Cateter is near the ureteral orifice. If it is too soft the use of mandrin is reccomended.

Cause : occlusion of upper urinary tract with calculus, grume, slime, pus, caseous mass, allergic oedema of ureter.

Pathogenesis

Obturation of upper urinary tract and irritationof urotelial receptors.

Acute local spasm of the ureter and impairment of urine passage.

Elevation of intrapelvical pressure.

Decreasing of intrarenal veins tonus and spasm of intrarenal arteries.

Hypoxia, interstitial oedema.

Impairment of lymphodrainage.

Increasing of a kindey volume, compression of renal parenchyma.

Acute oedema of paranephral cellular tissue.

Clinical and laboratory findings

Acute pain.

Nausea, vomiting

Positive shaking symptom

Tenderness on kidney palpation

Fresh erythrocytes in the urine

Acute appendicitis

Cholesystitis

Peptic ulces
