My Friend.

To my mind, it’s fine when you have friends, who are able to understand and support you and help in difficult situations.

All people are different, and you’re lucky if you have a person who share you views on life, and who is able to understand you. If you have such a friend, a real soulmate, so you’re not alone.

I’d like to tell you about my best friend. Her name’s Maria, she’s 16. Maria attends the same school as me. She’s tall and slim good looking girl with brown eyes and blonde hair.

We have much in common with Maria and we enjoy communicating with each other. She studies well, and her favourite subject at school is English. Maria likes to study foreign languages. Besides English she studies French and Italian by herself. She buys teach yourself books, watch TV programs, listens to radio programs and read fiction in foreign languages. Maria wants to be interpreter, so she’s going to enter Linguistic University.

When we gather together, we walk, watch new movies, discuss them and talk about everything. We like to spend time together. In summer we go to the beach, swim in the river and lakes, play sport games outdoors, and walk in the parks. In winter we go skiing and skating.

We’ve been friends for a long time. We absolutely trust each other. I can tell Maria about all my troubles and I know that she always helps me, if she can. I can call Maria at night, and she won’t be offended at me. She always tries to understand me and my feelings. Maria knows that she can rely on me too. So we’re real friends indeed.

I’m happy to have such a good friend as Maria.

Я вважаю, що добре мати друзів, які можуть зрозуміти, підтримати і допомогти у важких ситуаціях.

Всі люди різні, і вам дуже пощастило, якщо у вас є людина, яка розділяє ваші погляди на життя і здатна зрозуміти вас. Якщо у вас є такий друг, родинна душа, то ви не самотні на цій землі.

Я хочу розповісти вам про свою найкращу подругу. Її звати Марія, їй 16 років. Ми з нею ходимо до однієї школи. Марія — висока струнка симпатична дівчина, у неї світле волосся і карі очі.

У нас з Марією багато спільного і нам подобається спілкуватися одна з одною. Вона добре навчається, її улюблений предмет в школі — англійська мова. Марії подобається вивчати іноземні мови. Крім англійської, вона самостійно вивчає французьку і італійську мови. Вона купує самовчителі, дивиться телепрограми, слухає радіо і читає художню літературу іноземними мовами. Марія хоче бути усним перекладачем, тому збирається вступати до Лінгвістичного університету.

Коли ми збираємося разом, ми гуляємо, дивимося нові фільми, обговорюємо їх і розмовляємо про все. Нам подобається проводити час разом. Влітку ми ходимо до пляжу, плаваємо в річці і озерах, граємо в спортивні ігри на відкритому повітрі і гуляємо в парках. А взимку ми катаємося на лижах і ковзанах.

Ми абсолютно довіряємо один одному. Я можу розповісти Марії про всі свої неприємності і знаю, що вона завжди допоможе мені, якщо зможе. Я можу зателефонувати їй вночі, і вона не образиться на мене. Вона завжди прагне зрозуміти мене і мої почуття. Марія знає, що також може покластися на мене. Отже ми дійсно справжні друзі.

Я дуже рада, що у мене є така хороша подруга, як Марія.

Зовнішність

Коли ми говоримо про чийсь характер, ми можемо так характеризувати людину: привітна, дружелюбна, великодушна, добросерда, щедра, турботлива чи, навпаки, жорстока, злісна, груба, жадібна, нетовариська.  Тепер я хочу описати мою кращу подругу. Її звуть Катя. Вона красива дівчинка 16 років. Катя не дуже висока.

Вона завжди дуже елегантна, вдягається по останній моді. У Каті світле кучеряве волосся і темно-блакитні очі. Її вії дуже довгі і густі. У Каті овальне обличчя і кирпатий ніс. Вона вихована, весела і добра людина. Вона дуже тактовна і соромлива. З Катею приємно мати справу, вона ніколи не втрачає самовладання. У неї також добре серце і сильна воля. Вона завжди готова допомогти друзям. Каті завжди вдається бути цікавою в спілкуванні, веселою. Вона добродушно-весела дівчина. Я дуже щаслива, що в мене така подруга.

When we speak about somebody’s character, we can characterize a person as polite, friendly, good-natured, kind-hearted, generous, thoughtful or, on the contrary, hard-hearted, ill-natured, rude, greedy, uncommunicative. Now I’d like to describe my close friend. Her name is Kate. She is a beautiful girl of 16. Kate is not very tall. She is always very elegant, she wears the clothes of latest fashion. Kate has fair curly hair and dark blue eyes. Her eyelashes are very long and thick. Kate’s face is oval and she has a turned-up nose.She is a well-bred, merry and kind person. She is very tactful and shy. Kate is a pleasant person to deal with, she never loses her temper. She also has a kind heart and a strong will. She is always ready to help her friends. Kate always manages to be amusing and cheerful. She is an easy-going girl. I am very happy to have such a friend.

Кожна людина має своє уявлення про ідеальний будинок. З незапам’ятних часів люди завжди хотіли, щоб будинком було місце, де можна почувати себе зручно і затишно, куди завжди хочеться повертатися. Житло моєї мрії — це не будинок, а двоповерховий особняк.

І як справжня господарка, я хочу облаштувати усе на свій смак. Тепер давайте я розповім вам про мій будинок. Коли ви приходите до мене, то відкриваєте великі дерев’яні двері, витираючи ноги об килим і входячи в хол. На підлозі лежить килимове покриття, шпалери світлі, з дрібним малюнком. Біля стіни стоять стільчик і маленький стіл, а над ним — величезне дзеркало. Потім ви заходите у вітальню. Яскраві довгі штори відслонені, і сонячне світло наповняє кімнату. Меблевий гарнітур, що складається із серванта, книжкової шафи, дивана, елегантного журнального столика і трьох крісел, розставлений уздовж трьох стін. Біля вікна стоїть відеосистема. На першому поверсі знаходяться також кухня і ванна. Кухня дуже простора, з великим вікном. Там є газова плита з витяжкою, дві навісні шафи і мийка. Біля протилежної стіни стоїть посудомийна машина, холодильник і стіл. Давайте піднімемося наверх і заглянемо в спальню. Це дуже затишна і тепла кімната. Спальний гарнітур складається з ліжка, двох тумбочок і одежної шафи. Вікно виходить у двір. У моєму будинку є також тераса, гараж і сад, і багато інших речей, що я хочу мати принаймні у моїх мріях.

Every person has his own idea of a perfect house. Since the time immemorial people always wanted to make their dwelling a place, where one feels comfortable and cosy, where one always wants to come back to. A dwelling of my dream is not a flat but a two-storeyed mansion.

And as a real hostess I’d like to arrange everything in the house according to my taste. Now, let me tell you about my house. When you come to me, you push a big wooden front door, wiping your feet on the door-mat, and enter the hall. The floor is covered with a fitted carpet, the wallpaper is light and has a small pattern. There’s a seat and a small table near the wall and a huge mirror above it. Then you enter the living-room. The bright full-length curtains are drawn back, and sunshine fills the room. The living-room suite, consisting of a sideboard, a bookcase, a sofa, an elegant coffee table and three armchairs, is arranged around three walls. There’s a video system near the window. On the ground floor there’s also a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen is a very large room with a big window. There is a gas cooker with a hood, two wall-cupboards and a sink unit there.

Near the opposite wall there is a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a table. Let’s go upstairs and have a look at the bedroom. This is a very cosy and warm room. The bedroom suite consists of a bed, two bedside tables and a wardrobe. The window overlooks the back yard. In my house there is also a terrace, a garage and a garden and so many other things I’d like to have; at least, in my dream house.

Composition “Summertime”

Summer is a beautiful season with the long sunny days and short warm nights. The weather is mostly fine and the clear blue sky is above our heads. The trees are green and fresh grass grows everywhere. А great variety of brightly colored odorous summer flowers all around feasts our eyes.

Summer is the time when cherries and apricots are getting ripe. Also we can pick up strawberries, blackberries and many fruits and vegetables. In summer the air is filled with the ringing voices of birds and the buzz of insects.

For the pupils summer means three months long holidays! Im never upset if I dont go anywhere on my summer holidays because when I have enough free time I always do something interesting. I read books, watch films, listen to music or go for a walk. I love summertime very much because its warm and comfortable outside. Theres no need to stay at home or to put on lots of clothes. We can spend time outdoors, walk and play, lie in the sun and swim in the sea or in the river.

Im sure everybody likes summertime!

Літа - прекрасна пора року з довгими сонячними днями й короткими теплими ночами. Погода найчастіше ясна, і чисте блакитне небо над нашими главами. Дерева зелені, і скрізь росте свіжа трава. Величезна розмаїтість барвистих, ароматних квітів радуетглаз.

Літа - це час, коли спіють вишні й абрикоси. А ще можна збирати полуницю й ожину, а також багато овочів і фрукти. Польотом повітря наповнене дзвінкими голосами птахів і жужжаниемнасекомих.

Для школярів літа означає тримісячні канікули! Я ніколи не розбудовуюся, якщо нікуди не їжджу на літніх канікулах, тому що коли в мене досить вільного часу, я завжди займаюся чим-небудь цікавим. Я читаю книжки, дивлюся фільми, слухаю музику або ходжу гуляти. Я дуже люблю лета за те, що на вулиці тепло й комфортно. Немає потреби сидіти вдома або надягати занадто багато одяги. Ми можемо проводить час на свіжому повітрі, гуляти й грати, загоряти й купатися в морі або річці

Я впевнений, що літа люблять всі!

claimed on the 24th of August, 1991.

Its sovereignty is now recognized by

all the countries of the world.

The state symbols of Ukraine are the

national flag and emblem.

Blueyellow state flag symbolizes

the unity of blue sky and yellow wheat

field.

The little state emblem — trident —

appeared first on the seals in times of

Volodymyr the Great.

It has its own territory, government,

national emblem, state flag and

anthem.

The geographical position of Ukraine

is very favourable for the development

of its relations with the countries of

Europe, as well as with the countries

throughout the world.

It borders on Russia, Belarus,

Moldova, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary,

Romania.

It is washed by the Black Sea and the

Sea of Azov.

The major rivers are the Dnieper, the

Dniester, the Donets and others.

The territory of Ukraine consists

mostly of plains.

The Ukrainian Carpathians and the

Crimean Mountains make up only 5 %

of its area.

It is a well­developed industrial and

ag­ricultural country.

Ukraine has many natural resources.

The population of Ukraine is about

50 million people.

The biggest cities are Kyiv, Kharkiv,

Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa,

Lviv, Mykolaiv and others.

Ukraine has an ancient history.

Nowadays Ukraine has established

new relations with the countries

throughout the world.

Ukraine is one of the members of the

United Nations Organization (UNO)

and paticipates in the work of many

international organizations.

Scientists of Ukraine have made a great

con  tri  bution to the world science.

 It is the largest city in Ukraine.

 More than three million people live there.

 Kiev was founded more than 1500 years ago.

 It is the political, economic, industrial and cultural centre of our country.

 There are many factories in Kiev.

 They make different products.

 In Kiev there are many museums, monuments, theatres, cinemas, libraries and palaces.

 Thousand of students study at Kiev-Mohila academy, at Kiev University, many institutes and colleges.

 Kiev is a large transport centre.

 Kiev metro is very beautiful.

 Kiev is on the banks of the river Dnieper.

 The city is very green.

 It is one of the most beautiful cities of Ukraine.

 Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, president and government are in Kiev.

 Ambassadors of many countries live in the capital of Ukraine too.

 We are proud that our capital is one of the best and oldest cities in the world.

 Khreschatyk is the main street in Kiev. It is not very long, but it is wide and straight.

 You can see many cars and trolley buses in Khreschatyk.

 There are many big green trees in it.

 A lot of people go to Khreschatyk every day.

 Some of them go shopping because there are many good shops and big market there.

 Other people go to the cinema, look at the fountains or sit on the benches.

 In the evening many people walk in Khreschatyk.

 There you can see many bright lights.

Київ  Київ є столицею України.

 Це найбільше місто в Україну.

 Більше трьох мільйонів людей живуть там.

 Київ був заснований більше 1500 років тому.

 Це політичний, економічний, промисловий і культурний центр нашої країни.

 Є багато заводів в Києві.

 Вони виробляють різні продукти.

 У Києві є багато музеїв, пам'ятників, театрів, кінотеатрів, бібліотек та палаців.

 Тисячі студентів навчаються в Києво-Могилянській академії, Київському університеті,  інститутіах і коледжах.

 Київ є великим транспортним центром.

 Київський метрополітен дуже красивий.

 Київ знаходиться на березі річки Дніпро.

 Місто дуже зелене. (квартиры посуточно)

 Це одне з найкрасивіших міст України.

 Українська Верховна Рада, президент  і уряд  знаходяться в Києві.

 Посли багатьох країн живуть в столиці Україні теж.

 Ми пишаємося, що наша столиця є одним з кращих і найстаріших міст в світі.

 Хрещатик є головною вулицею Києва. Вона не дуже довга, але  широка і пряма.

 Ви можете побачити багато автомобілів і тролейбусів на Хрещатику.

 Є багато великих зелених дерев на ній.

 Багато людей йдуть на Хрещатик кожен день.

 Деякі з них ходять по магазинах, тому що тут є багато хороших магазинів і великий ринок.

 Інші люди йдуть в кіно, або дивитися на фонтани, або сидять на лавках.

 Увечері багато людей ходять на Хрещатик.

 Там можна побачити багато яскравих вогнів. Великобританія…
