7. Talk about the difference between teenagers and adults in the attitude to shopping and in their tastes in clothes

Adults and teenagers are very different; they have their own opinion on fashion and how to shop. As for teenagers shopping is like a fun. They can do their shopping with friends only for window shopping. And as for adults, most of them do their shopping only when they need something. Most of teenagers don’t like going shopping with their parents nowadays. The main reason of this is the difference in their tastes in clothes and the attitude to shopping. Of course teenagers have their own style which is often hard to understand by grown-ups. They tend to wear skinny jeans and skinny short tops and their parents may consider it too vulgar. They expect them to wear smart dresses or suits and ties, all in all the clothes that they like and approve. As for teenagers they are very stubborn and never follow the parents’ advice. They feel like throwing up when they are shown the clothes that will suit them perfectly.

So was Marcy. She didn’t want to find something in the junior boutique; she stepped into the “Chubbies”. She wanted to do shopping herself without help of the assistant. She did not want to buy a dress. She was waddling up when they were searching for a dress. In the end of the story her mother gave in and bought her purple pants that they both liked.

So I can say that although teenagers and adults are different they can see eye to eye with each other on clothes. Most of parents give in trying to change their child but some of them cant and continue to have rows and dragging around shops with their angry off springs searching for the perfect outfit for them. I believe that this is a problem that should be solved, because most of teenagers hate their parents for it.

8. Speak about the different ways of doing the shopping

It goes without saying that shopping is a most important part of our everyday life and besides, it is a house chore that needs to be done. Anyway, some people can’t even imagine their life without it, while others hate this activity and consider it to be boring and tiresome. On the whole there’re various ways different people do their shopping. Let’s consider the most widespread of them.

First of all, some consumers, especially if they are used to doing shopping in large supermarkets, always make up a list of goods that must be bought. As a rule they do so because they tend to forget the very thing they need. Others, who are not very keen on shopping, try to through the supermarket as quickly as possible without any interference from smb, because one can meet “the whole world” in the store. Usually, this type of people tend to get in a bad mood during shopping, moreover, they prefer to shop on their own with nobody around. Others, on the contrary, find this activity to be the best way of spending time together with their friends or even colleagues. Such customers can easily negotiate with salesmen and they often manage to find bargains.

Nobody will deny that it is rather difficult to do shopping with children. Actually, it is a real nightmare, because you have to spend a lot of time running after them and putting things that they’ve grabbed back on the shelves. And the worst situation is when parents have to calm down their crying kids, just because they haven’t bought them a toy or a chocolate.

There’re some consumers who always exactly know what they need. They quickly go from one shelf to another putting in their trolleys goods. It seems they feel almost like they’re driving and hate standing in a line, as if they were in a traffic jam.

Quite often people do window-shopping, and especially it concerns women, though some men are not the exception. They simply enjoy walking up and down in front of shop windows looking at the range of goods on display. Funny enough but they say it is just the way they spend their free time. But there’s one more type of consumers who prefer going to stores only when they have sales and offer goods at considerable discounts.

Speaking of myself, I must admit that I more prefer going to the market and do my shopping very quickly as I’m always in a hurry. Nevertheless, if I have enough time I like to walk slowly along the rows of tables, sniffing home-grown fruits and vegetables, tasting cheese or honey to decide whether they come up or not to my private taste. Furthermore, prices on the market without any doubt are considerably lower, so I am able to save my money.
