Mr. Carter’s House

Mr. Carter is a businessman. He lives in a two-storey cottage near London.

In frond of the cottage there is a little garden and behind it there is a tennis court and a garage. Through the front door you enter the hall, then you go into the living-room. To the right of the living-room you can see the dining-room and the kitchen. The bedrooms are upstairs.

In the living-room you can see a couch, a small coffee table and a few armchairs. In the corner of the room there is a television set. On the walls there are some pictures.

In the dining-room you can see a table, a few chairs and a big sideboard full of china. There are some flowers on the window-sills.

This is Mr. Carter’s study. There is not much furniture in it – only a desk and two armchairs. On the desk you can see some pens and pencils, two or three letters, a reading lamp and some other things. There is also a telephone on it. There are lots of books on the shelves. The walls of the study are light-brown. The ceiling is light-brown, too. On the floor there is a carpet.

Mr. Carter’s house is quite comfortable.
