Emphatic Auxiliaries - do/does/did
You use do/does/did + infinitive in positive sentences to add special emphasis or contrast
You do look beautiful today.
She does feel sorry for Roger.
She thinks that I didn't see the queen, but I did see her.
do/does/did + imperative makes a request or invitation more persuasive
Do come with us.
Do work a little harder.
Do help me, please.
You never use do/does/did with “be” except in the imperative
Don't be stupid!
Do be a good boy and sit down!
