Research
The infrastructure for effective science development has been established at the University. It consists of construction design bureaus, scientific research institutes, scientific centers, branch laboratories, post-graduate course in 47 majors, doctorate course in 1 1 majors, and dissertation councils in 14 majors.The University under conditions of liberalization of market relations and extending international cooperation shows great interest in the problem of collaboration with industrial enterprises at regional level. Nowadays this cooperation is carried on in the following lines: introduction of the results of enterprise-agreed research amounting $11 ml, establishment of corporate universities comprising industrial enterprises as separate units, agreements dealing with special training of engineers for enterprises having placements for graduates, staff development, creation of innovative activities, including establishment of small enterprises oriented to science capacious business, cooperation with regional administration on the problems of setting up controlled development areas on the basis of the University; cooperation with the State Foundation of Entrepreneurs on transfer of Science capacious technologies. Research in these lines is carried on according to the Programs of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and other branch Ministries. Scientific achievements of the University have been marked by five gold medals at the international level, two gold, three silver, and five bronze medals at the federal level.
Annual volume of Enterprise-agreed and State-budge research carried out at the University amounts in average 25 ml rubles. Every year the University holds about 20 International and Russian Scientific-technical conferences and symposia.
