The block configuration can only be checked if also under (7) the corresponding measuring device or system and thermometer is selected.

Program properties:

Under button (11) the configuration of the standard tables and diagrams may be processed (see also Diagram & Table Configuration Window).

The settings / defaults for the Test Identification (-Classification) are hidden behind button (12). In the window then opening, information on the user and/or substance may be made.

Under (7) the default properties of the program are displayed. Fields not grayed out may be edited.

Via the button (8) the current program is loaded in the Program Execution Window, where it can then be started by choosing the measuring device and system.

Block bars:

(1)Measuring block bars contain measuring device thermostat control blocks + an event block

(2)Standard block bar, with for example: storage, maintenance and performance data display block…

(3)Analysis block bar, contains analysis and report blocks

Test Classification (-Identification)

In this window default settings on the program or test identification may be made. This information will help later on in allocating performance data left behind. Furthermore it may be stated if a closing comment (1) is expected after test end or if the entry are displayed or may be changed before start (2) & (4).

Statements of which substance is to tested are made under (3). General entries can be made under (4). By using button (6) you are closing the window.

Extra Configurations

In this dialog can special program settings be configured like an density formula.

density formula

The density is mainly needed by kinematic viscosity calculation.

In the textbox you can type in an fix value or an formula for density calculation. For formula you have to use C# programming language syntax and an 'T' as the temperature variable. In the line under it the current formula is calculated for an temperature T = 20 degree cesius.

e.g.:

f(T) = 1.23 * T + 23

f(T) = System.Math.Sqrt(T) - 1.023 means radical from(T) - 1.023

f(T) = System.Math.Pow(T,3)/3.4 means T3 / 3.4

Program Execution Window

The program execution is checked in this window. For execution a program requires at least one chosen device (7) and measuring system (9) .

Figure 1: Execute measuring program overall view

When this window is opened or the button (10) is pressed, then the search for connected devices (measuring device + thermostat) is started automatically. The area (20) marked in red in “figure 2” is visible during the process and closes thereafter with a short delay.

In the text field (21) all devices found are listed and underneath, under (22), the existing ports are listed whether in use or not. The devices found are then available depending on the type under the selection fields (7) and (9). In the selection field (8) the measuring device-dependent measuring systems are available for selection.

Figure 2: Execute measuring program, device search

In the window (1)above the program is displayed with its blocks. Depending on the device selection the incomplete blocks or blocks with incorrect parameters are marked with a red exclamation mark. These are NOT executed.

In the control bar below you will find the buttons to start the execution (3), to pause (continue) (4) and cancel (5), as well as on the left a button (2) to reset the execution counter and on the right a button (6) to reopen the Performance Data Display during the execution.

In the area (11) test identification settings may be completed provided they are predefined in the Program Editor under Classification.

With the buttons (12) and (13) the window is closed, which would cancel a running test. When using the button (12) the current program is subsequently opened in a Program

Editor.

Performance Data & Analysis View

All performance data are hold in an database(size dependent), so you have every time access and are able compare and analyze it.

Per icon on toolbar or application main menu (File -> New -> Measuring Analysis)you can open this analysis window.

First there is a possibility to search and select datasets(Figure 1). After selection press "Open" or "Cancel" button for continue. You will see an design like in figure 2.

Figure 1: Dataset search and selection

(1)Date and time span selection in that the dataset what we are looking for was create.

(2)Search text that all dataset should contain in any column.

(3)Refreshes dataset table view(4) with current filter settings of (1) and (2) .

(4)Table with all dataset and their properties that match the filter of (1) and (2).

(5)With this navigation bar you can jump direct to an position in table (first, last or index defined).

(6)Push the "Open" button to load and display datasets. On push "Cancel" button the analysis window keeps empty and disabled till data will be load.

Figure 2: Performance dataset view and analysis

With the menu(11) you can change between different data(table/diagram..) or configuration(filter, print options..) views. There you can drop analysis blocks from the analysis block bar too. This blocks are configurable and their diagrams are includable in main diagram.

Default entries(in 11):

General(Options)

Print Options

Filter

Data filter definitions for all or one separate dataset.

Data table

Data view of an selected dataset

Diagram (13)

Main diagram for showing all or one separate dataset (12) + graphs of added analysis blocks. Its fully configurable. On separate datasets you can use the programs diagram design too.

+ n Analysis entries

added, configurable analysis blocks(e.g. regression or thixotropy)

Data Imand Export

With the toolbar symbols you are able to import and export measuring data. The button with red arrow opens the export dialog and the green one the import dialog.

Export

In this window on bottom area(4) you have to select one or more datasets for export. On the combobox(2) are the possible export file format types listed:

1.XML (the only one to re-import data)

2.Text

3.CSV with German number format

4.CSV with English number format

If text format is selected(point 2) some separators are available under the enabled control(3) now.

With text field(1) and right button the target file is selectable. Now push the "OK" button on the bottom right to start exporting.

Import

In this small dialog you select simply the source file on the textbox(1) and the button right and start the import process with the "Import" button(2).

You can import XML files like described on top or data files(.dat) of the previous application version RHEO2000.

Device Administration

In this window the supported measuring devices (1), thermostats (2) and measuring systems (3) are managed. With the buttons (1) to (3) the respective configuration elements are opened on the right.

(4)Close the window, changes not saved are lost!

(10)Changes made are only saved when clicking this button! It have to push on switch between views(device, thermostat, measuring system) too.

Measuring System Configuration (Figure 1)

(5)Properties of the measuring system currently selected in (11).

(6)Delete the measuring systems selected in (11).

(7)New measuring system is added to the current list

(8)Changes to selected measuring system are updated in the list.

(9)Settings in property window (5) are reset to the default values.

Procedure to add an new measuring system:

select an similar measuring system under(11)

change name and other needed settings on control (5)

press the button(7) measuring system is now added to list(11)

press button (10) to commit changes to system.
