Je veux obliger la Russie à être dépendante de la France. Je dois finir avec à la puissance de la Russie, la faire revenir aux frontières du siècle dernier. Je dois aller à l'Inde, et quand je la gagne, je serai d'affaiblir l'Angleterre.

Je ne permettrai pas de s’unir aux armées russes. Je vais les écraser l’une après lautre. J'ai une armée la plus forte. Je vais faire les donner une bataille principale où ils seront vaincus. Le tsar russe devra accepter nos conditions et signer le traité.

Англия сильный противник. Хотя, покорив Россию, я смогу и покорить Англию. Нужно только превратить Россию в зависимую от Франции страну. Отнять у нее часть её территории. И уже потом, с помощью России завоевать Индию. Да! Тогда Англия будет слаба, и не будет представлять собой особое препятствие.

Но как же добиться покорения России? Нужно все решить одним ударом по направлению Вильно – Москва, навязать русским генеральное сражение, разгромить русские армии по одиночке, заставить русского императора подписать унизительный мир.

I used to win the battles against the Russian armies. It was in June of 1807. После разгрома русских войск в битве под Фридландом в июне 1807 г. император Александр I заключил с Францией Тильзитский мир, по которому обязался присоединиться к континентальной блокаде Англии. Однако, русские не соблюдают континентальную блокаду и к тому же обложили французские товары пошлиной. А вот и повод. Тильзитский мир нарушен! Война все равно неизбежна! Так чего же тянуть?

Но если жребий оружия решит дело против меня, то я скорее отступлю на Камчатку, чем уступлю свои губернии и подпишу в своей столице договоры, которые являются только передышкой. Француз храбр, но долгие лишения и плохой климат утомляют и обескураживают его. За нас будут воевать наш климат и наша зима».
