Baluchistan
a province in
Western Pakistan, on the Arabic Sea, and the Iranian and Afgani
borders. Being on trade routes from India to the Middle West,
Baluchistan has florished since ancient times. Nominally part of
larger empires, it usually enjoyed autonomy until Britain won control
(19th century). In 1947 it became part of Pakistan.
