In conclusion I would like to add that in spite of all disadvantages, studying abroad is a fantastic experiment, I believe. As for me, I never tried it, but some of my friends did. They do like it!

My future job and career

This year I’m graduating from Syktyvkar State University, the faculty of linguistics. So, I’m supposed to be a teacher of English or German. Actually, I don’t like this idea. I see my future occupation communicating with many people from different nationalities. It doesn’t matter if it would be real communication or telephone or skype. I also dream about travelling a lot. Probably, it’s going to be business trips. According to my preference, I believe, that working as an interpreter is good enough for me. Interpreters should Speak, read, and write fluently in at least two languages, including English and one or more others, they should Manage work schedules to meet deadlines and they should Render spoken ideas accurately, quickly, and clearly. Interpreters must usually be fluent speakers or signers of both languages because they communicate back and forth among the people who do not share each other's language.

There are two modes of interpreting: simultaneous and con’secutive. Simultaneous interpreting requires interpreters to listen or watch and speak or sign at the same time someone is speaking or signing. In contrast, consecutive interpreting begins only after the speaker has said or signed a group of words or sentences. They often take notes while listening to or watching the speakers, so they must develop some type of notetaking or shorthand system.

It’s not an easy task to do this job, but I believe you can reach all the skills through practicing and working hard. Moreover I believe that there is nothing that we can’t do! Everything is possible. The main idea of it is to believe in yourself and in you power.

Staying healthy. Medical service in different countries

It is important for all of us to stay in good health. At first, remember that the rational nutrition (diet/food) plays here significant role. The every day food is supporting our bodies. Thus, it is very important for health to give for body all it needs with meal. Natural vitamins could be a good solution here. There are a lot of high-quality vitamins in fresh greens, and non-polluted vegetables. So, you should have them in your every day ration. They are useful for adults, as well as for children. If you will not eat any vitamins then your organism will be weak, and you can easily get sick.

Second important thing you should do is to go in for sport - you just need to spend more time outside and lead an active way of life. That helps to keep our body strong and healthy, and mind fresh.

Yet another thing that you should better avoid is smoking and drinking. If you drink a lot and smoke, you are going to be in big troubles. In this way you will destroy your health.

It is easy to destroy your health, but then it is very hard, and sometimes even impossible, to rebuild it. Everyone should love his health and body, and then he will definitely have a success with health.

As far as medical service concerned, it is different in many countries. For example, In our country medical service is free of charge. There is a wide network of clinics and hospitals. If a person falls ill he calls a local doctor. The doctor visits his patient. And examines him. He usually sounds the patient's chest, listens to his heart, fells his pulse and his blood pressure. The doctor gives the instructions. If the patient follows them, it doesn't take him long to recover. But unfortunately, our free of charge hospitals are old-fashioned and need repairing. Doctors and nurses are overworked and underpaid. One of the positive features, which still exists in Russia, medical service in regular medical check-up of school children. It is very important to prevent illness. They are vaccinated and examined by specialists. I think that medical service should be free of charge for all people.

In contrast, in the USA you have to pay for every medical service. In the United States, they do not have socialized medicine or national health insurance. Instead, in order to obtain medical care, you must either have health insurance or pay for the medical care directly yourself. Even if you call the ambulance, you are to pay 20$ for it. But you are sure that you will have you own room, and the service would be perfect!

In conclusion, I would like to add, that it’s very difficult to say what medicine is better – Russian or American. When I went to the clinic in the US I got all the necessary service, it’s really good. Fortunately, I had an insurance, and didn’t have to pay for it. But, to tell the truth, our Russian medicine service is much closer for me with all its disadvantages.
