V. Сравнительные Конструкции as…as, not so/as…as

используются для сравнения двух предметов (или лиц), которым присуще какое-либо свойство или качество

а) в равной степени:

Tim is as tall as Tom. – Тим такой же высокий, как Том.

б) первый предмет или лицо обладает указанным свойством или качеством в меньшей степени:

Jane is not so/as tall as Tom. = Tom is taller than Jane.

Джейн не такая высокая, как том. = Том выше, чем Джейн.

Упражнение 33. Вставьте so/as ... as.

1. Mike is ... strong ... Pete. 2. Kate is ...pretty... Ann. 3. My room is ...cosy ... hers. 4. This book not ... interesting ... that one. 5. John is ... old ... Andrew. 6. She is not ... young ...
