Ex.13. Read the text and answer a few questions about it.

Last Monday morning Mrs. Brown was in her bedroom getting ready to go to work, when suddenly she heard somebody scratch and saw a mouse run out from under the bed. Mrs. Brown is afraid of mice, has always been. That’s why she jumped up on a chair and screamed. The mouse saw Mrs. Brown jump up on a chair and heard her scream, but it wasn’t frightened. It sat staring at the woman.

Then Mrs. Brown had an idea. She jumped from the chair and ran downstairs to fetch her cat, Tiger. At first she couldn’t find him anywhere, but finally she found him sleeping under the kitchen table. Quickly she grabbed him under her arm and ran back upstairs. She hurried into the bedroom and put the cat on the floor. Then she got up on the chair again. Unfortunately Tiger was frightened too, so he jumped up on her shoulder. What a coward!
