Conclusion
It
is necessary to change impressions of Tomsk citizens about NPP and
the nuclear industry as a whole. Because of the agreement signed
between Russia and the U.S. Siberan Chemical Combine reactors have
had to be stopped and taken out of service by 2011. After reactor
shutdown, the entire burden will fall on the Seversk TPP, which would
operate at full capacity. As a result of this work, in 2012, Seversk
TPP will withdraw from service due to deterioration of the equipment.
Remaining two power plants (Tomsk TPP-2, Tomsk TPP-3) will not be
able to provide electricity to cities of Tomsk region. That is why
the city needed nuclear power plant.
