20. Read and translate the text:

I study at the Institute

I study at the Azov and Black-Sea Engineering Institute. There are five faculties (the faculties for Energy, Agrotechnology,

State Control and Business Management, Automobile, Secondary Vocational Education) and two forms of training (full-time and extramural) in our Institute. After passing entrance exams successfully, students are enrolled into the Institute on the competitive basis. The

whole course of studies lasts for four or five years. External students study for five or six years.

Classes begin, as a rule, on the 1st of September and end in June. The academic year lasts ten months. Students go to the Institute every day except Saturday and Sunday. The academic year is divided into 2 terms: the autumn term and the spring term. Each term lasts about five months and after every term students pass exams and tests. During the academic year students work hard. As a rule they are very busy and have a lot of work to do. Students who study well get grants or stipends.

After every session students have vacations – two weeks in winter and two months in summer. Senior students have their practical training in different enterprises of Rostov Region.

The Institute has many professors and highly qualified specialists on its staff. They deliver lectures on various subjects. Leading scientists of the Institute act as student’s scientific advisers. In the final-year students write diploma theses and take state exams. On graduation from our Institute students receive degrees of Bachelor or diplomas of specialist.

Students of our Institute have seven academic buildings, a complex of hostels (including hostel for family students), a big scientific library with reading halls, many laboratories, many computer labs and two sports halls.
