Предисловие
«Методические указания … » предназначены для студентов II курса отделения теологии факультета Немецкого языка. Их цель – организовать работу студентов при чтении на английском языке книги Джин Уэбстер «Длинноногий дядюшка».
Материал книги разделён на четыре части. Задания каждого из разделов включают рецептивный вокабуляр и упражнения, направленные на его усвоение и закрепление, а также на развитие рецептивных и продуктивных видов речевой деятельности.
Усвоение словаря и формирование умений и навыков речевой деятельности обеспечиваются разными видами упражнений, например, переводом предложений с русского языка на английский, перифразом, комментированием авторских идей, предложенными вопросами и проблемами для обсуждения, составлением диалогов, написанием сочинений (эссе).
Выполнение упражнений формирует базовые (лингвистические, прагматические) и основанные на них коммуникативные и межкультурные компетенции студентов.
