Teacher’s profession

I study at the university. I am going to become a teacher. My future profession is a primary school (pre-school) teacher. I think that this profession is my calling. I love children very much and decided to devote my life to teacher’s profession.

The profession of a teacher is one of the most ancient and widespread in the world. Teaching children is a very interesting, noble but at the same time difficult and responsible job.

The teacher is a central figure in the teaching and educational process. The teachers are entrusted with a most valuable treasure of the country – children and the most important task of teaching, upbringing and molding of the youngest generation.

But not any person can become a teacher. No other profession calls for so many talents as the profession of a teacher. He must be a psychologist, an actor, an inventor, a stage director and an authoritative and a charming personality who is both fond of children and interesting to them. It is no accident that the teacher is often called an engineer of human souls.

Only persons interested in pedagogic who have a real inclination (calling) for this profession possess the appropriate talent who are fond of children may become a teacher.

First of all every teacher must have a very good knowledge of his subject possess high pedagogical skills and has to be a highly educated and cultured person. The teacher must be a model to follow for his pupils in everything. Besides teaching his subject the teacher must educate his pupils to be worthy citizens and good people. The teacher plays a very important part in the life of children. He helps them to cognize the surrounding world, instills in them love fоr nature, work for their motherland, forms and develops their best human qualities (traits). He lays the foundation to all the future life of his pupils.

Little tots entering school at age of 7 and leaving it at 17-18, during their school years turn into the young people well-versed in various sciences, all-round developed. It may be stated that the present and future of school lie in the hands of teacher.
