Значения местоимения "One"
One может выполнять в предложении различные функции.
One – подлежащее:
One should be punctual. – Следует быть аккуратным.
One – заменитель существительного:
Construction materials used in industry are of different types; concrete is an example of the most popular one. – В промышленности используются строительные материалы разных видов; бетон принадлежит к числу наиболее популярных (материалов).
Сочетание one of переводится один из:
