Test tasks
The artificial feeding is feeding of children of the first 5-6 months of life by artificial milk formulas at presence of breast milk less than (in % from daily necessity):
40
35
30
25
20*
Advantages of sour formulas above sweet are all, except for:
it promotes to the synthesis of vitamins (especially B-group)
assist to normal development of flora
activity of stomach and intestine is stimulated
digestion of protein is facilitated
it promotes formation of the colloid state of milk)*
Features of the high-adapted formulas, except for:
Ratio of serum protein and casein – 60 : 40
balanced maintenance of all vitamins
the complete complex unsaturated fat acids is not contained*
contains biologically active additions
contains β-lactose
„Initial” formulas appoint to the children of age:
0-1 months
0-6 months*
0 – 12 months
4 – 12 months
6 – 12 months
5. 15 days child is on the artificial feeding. By what formula it is better to feed a child:
formula A (unadapted)
«Malish»
Formula B(unadapted)
«Hipp-1*»
Phenyl-free
Situation tasks
Task 1.
1 month child is on the artificial feeding. What formula is it better to feed a child by? What quantity of feeding on a day?
Answer: by the high-adapted formula, such as „Нірр- 1”, „Nutrilon-1”, „NAN -1”, and other 7 times per day in 3 hours.
Task 2.
1,5 months child with mass at birth 3500 g, is on the artificial feeding. What formula is it better to feed a child by? Define daily volume, volume on a 1 feeding.
Answer: Mass in 1,5 months: m = 3500 + 600 + 400 = 4500 g
Daily volume : V = 4500 : 5 = 900 ml
V on a 1 feeding = 900 : 7 = 145 ml.
Task 3.
3 month old child with mass at birth 3200 g, is on the artificial feeding by the adapted formula. Make one-day menu for a child. To define necessities in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, energy.
Answer: 1. mass in 3 months M = 3200+ 600+800+800 = 5400 g
2. Daily volume of feed is 1/6 from the mass V= 5400:6=900 ml
3. Volume on one feeding = 900 ml : 6 = 150 ml.
4. Necessity in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, kcal:
P= 2,5 g х 5,4 kg= 13,5 g. C = 12 g х 5,4 kg= 64,8 g.
F =6,5 g х 5,4 kg= 35,1 g. Kcal =120 kcal х 5,4 kg= 677,7 kcal.
5. Menu on 1 day:
6.00 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.
9.30 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.
13.00 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.
16.30 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.
20.00 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.
23.00 formula „NAN” – 150 ml.

Program of self-preparation of students to the theme:
To prepare tables on a theme „Artificial feeding”, in which proteins, fats, carbohydrates, energy composition of cow’s milk and basic most widespread formulas is represented
To make a few charts of the modern feeding of children, that is on the artificial feeding.
