answerphone – noun - a device connected to a telephone which answers calls automatically and records messages from callers: She wasn't in so I left a message on her answerphone. I rang several times last week, but I kept getting his answerphone.
attorney – noun - a person who is given the power to act on behalf of another in business or legal matters:
She was made her father’s attorney when he became ill.
couple - noun - two or a few things that are similar or the same, or two or a few people who are in some way connected: The doctor said my leg should be better in a couple of days. A couple of people objected to the proposal, but the vast majority approved of it.
gimlet – noun - a drink made with gin or vodka and lime juice
receptionist – noun - a person who works in a hotel, an office building, etc. answering the telephone and dealing with people when they arrive.
