1.1 Functions & Features
Main functions of Remote surveillance program
- Remote status monitoring (Video, Audio, Sensor, Control)

1.2 System installation
Execute RSSetup.exe file.
Click “Next” and proceed the next procedure.
- DirectX 9.0 is necessarily required to execute the program, so install it first.
- When the installation is completed, the “Remote Surveillance” icon is displayed on
the Windows background.
The user also can see the “direct access” icon in Start / Program / DVR / NETWORK.
- Execute the icon on the Windows background or Start / Program / DVR / NETWORK
to operate the program.
1.3 How to use
The main screen of the remote surveillance program is composed of several parts as below.

1.3.1. Log-in
The factory default mode ID is “system” and the password is “manager”.
After any user is registered in the program, they can not be used any more.
If the user is registered already, the user can log in with the registered ID
& password.
1.3.2. Registration
When the user clicks the registration button of the main screen, the
registration window will be floated up.
1.3.2.1 Site registration
Click the site icon in the upper-left side of the screen to register a site.
(1) New site registration
Input the site name, IP address, the registered User ID & Password.
Select LAN or ISDN/Modem in the Network part. Then, click the “Site Add”
button to complete the registration.
If the user connects to the DVR without ID & Password, the user can use
Anonymous Connection check box, but the available functions are limited.
(Only live video & audio monitoring are available.)
Port of this screen means TCP/IP Port and it should be same to the DVR setting.
If the number is prohibited, make the Port number available at the firewall or
change the port number of the DVR & RS program setting.
(2) Editing the registered site information
Select the site to edit in the registered site list, and click the “Edit” button after
changing the currently recorded information.
(3) Deleting the registered site
Select the site to delete in the registered site list, and click the “Delete” button.
1.3.2.2 Group registration
Click the Group icon in the upper-left side of the screen to register a group.
Click the “Add Group” button and input a
new group name.
Then click the group name and double click
the site address part to position the selected
camera.
The user can position the cameras without
considering the sequence.
(For example, if the 6th camera of A site is positioned in index no. 1, the 3rd camera of
B site could be positioned in index no. 2.)
The IP addresses of registered sites that the user sets in 2.1
of this manual will be displayed in the “Site Name”.
Select the IP address & camera number and click the “Save
button” to complete the positioning.
The user can not position the same camera twice in a group.
1.3.2.3 User registration
(1) New user registration
Click the “ADD” button after inputting the new user’s registration information.
(2) Editing the user’s information.
Select the user to edit in the registered user list, and click the “Edit” button after
changing the currently recorded information & inputting the password again in “Conf.
Password”.
(3) Deleting the user’s ID
Select the user’ ID to delete in the registered user list, and click the “Delete” button
after inputting the password in “Conf. Password”.
1.3.2.4 System setting
The user can setup the functions with clicking system icon.
(1) Language : The user can choose Language of the program.
(2) Display Mode in one screen
When one channel is to be displayed, the user can choose to display the image
either enlarging image on the whole screen area, or the original size.
(3) With clicking MODEM/ISDN button, Network Setup Wizard of the Window is to be operated to set MODEM. MODEM/ISDN.
(4) Event Pop-up
The user can choose the event type which happens in DVR, when the user want to activate popup in the Client program.
(5) Alarm Sound
The user can choose warning sound for the remote program, when an event happens in DVR.
(6) Recording data path
The user can set a path to save display data for emergency recording.
(7) Back-up path (VDB)
The location where user want to backup by VDB file type.
(8) Back-up path (AVI)
The location where user want to backup by VDB file type.
(9) Back-up log
The location where user want to backup by Backup log
Maximum Backup Speed : to set up bandwidth of the network for backup.
